Cybersecurity and construction of government buildings are intertwining like never before. The DOD has found it necessary to implement CMMC certifications for all General Contractors. This requirement, initiated in 2019, will be included in DoD RFPs starting in 2025. Any subcontractor that lacks the necessary certification, the general contractor risks termination or forfeiture of the project. If you plan on engaging in government work, it is crucial to prepare for this requirement as the certification process typically takes 9 to 12 months to complete.

Meet the instructor:
Mr. Wayne Shaw started Five 9s Consulting after selling his Cloud Host Service business of 20 years to help fulfill the growing demand for experienced I.T. management consultants and qualified cybersecurity professionals. Since starting Five 9s Consulting five years ago, Mr. Shaw and his team have been in high demand for assisting the defense industrial base with the new D.O.D. C.M.M.C. (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) requirements. Mr. Shaw and his team members are RP (Registered Practitioner) and RPA (Registered Practitioners Advanced) with the Cyber-AB (CMMC -Accreditation Body).
